Surface Design Study: Research and Design I found inspiration in the surface designs scattered throughout my home and aimed to capture their organic shapes. Initially, I considered a floral design, but it felt a bit generic and lacking in personal touch. To add more personality to my work, I decided to incorporate birds, which added an intriguing element to the design. Originally, I planned to use a blue and colder pink colour palette. However, after discussing with my peers, we concluded that a warmer colour scheme would better suit the overall vibe of the design. Sketches and Trace of Sketch in Rhino For the initial sketch, I used Procreate before bringing the image into Rhino; and while filling in the shapes with the hatch command, I encountered several challenges due to intersecting lines and gaps between shapes.
