  Surface Design Study: Research and Design      I found inspiration in the surface designs scattered throughout my home and aimed to capture their organic shapes. Initially, I considered a floral design, but it felt a bit generic and lacking in personal touch. To add more personality to my work, I decided to incorporate birds, which added an intriguing element to the design.      Originally, I planned to use a blue and colder pink colour palette. However, after discussing with my peers, we concluded that a warmer colour scheme would better suit the overall vibe of the design. Sketches and Trace of Sketch in Rhino      For the initial sketch, I used Procreate before bringing the image into Rhino; and while filling in the shapes with the hatch command, I encountered several challenges due to intersecting lines and gaps between shapes. Tiny French Castle

OBDF 210A - Blog Post: Castle. Shown here is my castle, it was inspired by the Castle of Chenonceau, in Loire, France. I wanted to emulate the two joined buildings, and the archways on the underside (but obviously simplified). I ended up with the idea I initially thought through, but the arches gave me a lot of difficulty. I had a hard time making the cut-outs, and the roof.
